how to deposit at cloudbet from ireland - cryptocurrency coins on a table

Depositing at Cloudbet isn't hard, but it's different from topping up an Irish bookie with your debit card. There's no "enter card number" box. Instead you send crypto from an exchange or wallet to an address Cloudbet gives you, and the details (which coin, which network, how much) decide whether the money turns up in a minute or disappears for good. This guide walks you through it from scratch, the way you'd explain it to a mate who's never done it before, with the few traps that actually cost people money flagged clearly.

18+ only. General information, not financial or legal advice. Cloudbet holds a Curaçao licence and is not licensed by Ireland's Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRAI), so no Irish regulator can help if something goes wrong. Details come from Cloudbet's help centre and terms when we checked in October 2026. If gambling is causing you worry, Gambling Care is free and open 24/7 on 1800 936 725 (Northern Ireland: 08000 886 725).

The quick version

  1. Get crypto on an exchange or in a wallet you control.
  2. In Cloudbet, open the deposit screen and pick your coin and network.
  3. Copy the deposit address (and memo or tag, if one is shown).
  4. Send a small test from your exchange on the same network.
  5. Once it arrives, send the rest.

Cloudbet's help centre, when we checked, said the minimum deposit is around US$1 or less depending on the coin, is shown on the deposit screen, and deposits below the minimum are not credited. Bridged or wrapped tokens (such as USDC.e) are not supported. Fiat options depend on your jurisdiction, so for most Irish players this is a crypto-only cashier.

Before you start: what you need

Step 1: pick your coin

Cloudbet supports a long list of coins. When we checked its help centre, it included Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Solana, XRP, Cardano, Tron, TON, BNB, DAI and many more. You don't need to think about most of them. For an Irish punter, the choice usually comes down to three questions:

If you want...ConsiderWhy
A balance that doesn't move with the crypto marketUSDT or USDCStablecoins track the US dollar, so your betting results aren't mixed up with coin prices
Low fees and quick arrivalUSDT on a fast network, or LitecoinCheap networks keep small deposits sensible
To use crypto you already holdWhatever you've got, if Cloudbet supports itAvoids buying and selling just to deposit

One thing to know: Cloudbet keeps a separate balance per coin. If you deposit USDT, you bet in USDT and withdraw in USDT. Pick a coin you're happy to be paid back in. Our USDT guide goes deeper on stablecoins.

Step 2: pick the network (the step that matters most)

Many coins exist on more than one blockchain. USDT, for example, was listed by Cloudbet on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche C-Chain, Solana, Polygon, Tron and TON. Ethereum itself was listed on mainnet, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain and Base. Litecoin was listed on the Litecoin mainnet and BNB Smart Chain.

Each network has its own address format, and sending on the wrong one is the classic way to lose a deposit. The rule is simple and absolute:

The network you pick in Cloudbet must be the same network you pick on your exchange's withdrawal screen.

Some quick clues from address formats:

Cloudbet said bridged or wrapped tokens aren't supported. If your exchange lists a token with a suffix like ".e", or a "bridged" version, don't send it.

Step 3: copy the address (and memo, if shown)

In Cloudbet, open the deposit screen, choose the coin and network, and you'll see a deposit address, often with a QR code. Use the copy button. Never type an address by hand. After pasting it into your exchange, check the first four and last four characters match.

Some coins and networks use a memo or tag as well as an address (TON and XRP are common examples across the industry). If Cloudbet's deposit screen shows a memo or tag, you must include it. If it doesn't show one, don't add one.

Step 4: send a test

Send a small amount first, comfortably above the minimum shown on Cloudbet's deposit screen. Wait for it to credit. It costs you one extra network fee, which on a cheap network is a few cent. Compared with the risk of sending your whole deposit to the wrong place, that's the best few cent you'll spend all week.

Step 5: send the rest and keep the receipt

Once the test has landed, send the main amount the same way. Save the transaction hash (TXID) your exchange shows. If anything is delayed, Cloudbet's support will ask for it, and you can look it up yourself on a block explorer to see whether it's confirmed.

Exchange or your own wallet?

You can send to Cloudbet straight from an exchange, or move the crypto to your own wallet first and send from there. Both work. Sending straight from the exchange is simpler and saves one network fee. Going through your own wallet gives you more control: some exchanges ask questions about withdrawals to gambling sites, and having your own wallet in the middle keeps your betting money separate from your savings. It also means winnings come back to an address only you control. If you use your own wallet, back up the recovery phrase on paper, never share it with anyone, and remember there's no "forgot password" button in crypto. Our crypto wallet guide explains the options, and our guide to buying crypto in Ireland covers the exchange side.

Whichever route you pick, use the same one each time once it works. Consistency is what keeps the mistakes away.

How long does a deposit take?

That depends on the network, not Cloudbet's opening hours. Fast networks usually confirm in seconds to a few minutes. Bitcoin produces a block roughly every ten minutes and can be slower when it's busy. Your exchange may also take a little time to process the outgoing withdrawal. If the transaction shows as confirmed on a block explorer but hasn't appeared in your Cloudbet balance after a reasonable wait, contact live support with the hash.

Bet with crypto at Cloudbet

18+. Crypto deposits. Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao and is NOT licensed by the GRAI. Irish gambling law changed in 2026: only GRAI-licensed operators may lawfully take bets from Irish customers. Ad: we may earn a commission. Bet only what you can afford to lose.

Fees: what you'll actually pay

Fixed fees hit small deposits hardest. A made-up €1 fee is 5% of a €20 deposit but only 0.5% of €200. If you deposit regularly, fewer, larger deposits within your budget waste less on fees than lots of tiny ones. Don't let that become a reason to deposit more than you planned, though.

The welcome package: what your first deposit triggers

Cloudbet's terms (section 8.4), when we checked, described a 30-day welcome programme for new users who registered on or after 2 January 2025 without another sign-up offer. It's activated by a first deposit of any amount, and the 30 days start at your first bet after that deposit. Rewards up to US$2,500 come through casino rakeback (10% of the house edge), daily casino cash drops and weekly sports cash drops, with some paid directly and some via a rewards calendar you must claim within 24 hours of unlocking. Cloudbet described the rewards as real cash without wagering.

Two practical points. First, because the 30 days start at your first bet, there's no rush to bet the minute your deposit lands. Second, it's a rewards programme tied to how much you play, not a lump sum. Don't play more to chase it. Our Cloudbet bonus explainer has the detail.

Verification: plan for it now

You can deposit without uploading documents at first. Cloudbet's terms, when we checked, set basic-level limits of about US$2,200 in lifetime deposits (and a daily withdrawal limit of the same size), with full verification (ID, proof of address and a face check) removing them once cumulative deposits reach that level. If you expect to deposit regularly, get verified early. It's far less stressful than doing it when a withdrawal is waiting. Our Cloudbet KYC guide explains the documents.

Card or bank deposits from Ireland?

Cloudbet's help centre said fiat options depend on jurisdiction. For most Irish players, expect to use crypto. If you see a buy-crypto option inside the cashier, it's typically a third-party service that sells you crypto and sends it to your Cloudbet address; read its fees and terms before using it, and expect your own bank to have a view on gambling-related card payments.

The legal bit

Ireland's Gambling Regulation Act created the GRAI, which opened licence applications in February 2026 and issued its first remote betting licences from 1 July 2026. Only GRAI-licensed operators may lawfully take bets from Irish customers. Cloudbet is not licensed by the GRAI. Paying in crypto doesn't change that. Practically, you'd have no Irish complaints route or regulator to turn to. Read our Irish betting law guide before you decide, and see our crypto tax guide for the Revenue side.

Mistakes to avoid

Checklist

Mind yourself

Crypto deposits are quick, and quick top-ups are exactly how budgets get broken. Decide on your number before you open the exchange app, and don't top up mid-session. If you notice you're depositing more often or more than you meant to, that's worth taking seriously. Gambling Care is free, confidential and open 24/7 on 1800 936 725, and our responsible gambling page lists more support.

My take

Depositing at Cloudbet from Ireland comes down to one habit: match the coin and network on both sides, then test before you send the lot. Use a stablecoin on a cheap network if you want your balance to stay put, keep the transaction hash, and get verified early so withdrawals don't stall later. And go in knowing Cloudbet isn't licensed in Ireland, so you're trusting its terms rather than an Irish regulator.
